Definitions
“Organizations” means any entity, legal persons such as companies, educational institutions, agencies, civil services, et cetera. “Content” means any Content of a Document, a Photo, an Image, a Logo, a Link, an Advertisement or any other Posting on the Sites. "Services" means any services provided on the Site by KOMUNIKI or its agents. "User" refers to any individual or entity who uses any aspect of the Site. "Individual" means a user who is accessing the Site for personal or individual purposes or in any other capacity except as a Representative / official employee. "Representative" means a person - an official employee - who represents an organization that is accessing the Site for commercial or any business purposes such as e.g. Advertisers, Supplier of Accommodations, Travel Agencies or Employers. “User”, “user”, "You" and "you" means the person who (or the entity on behalf of whom you are acting). "Personal Data" shall mean all data and/or information about your profession or your person. "Websites", "Sites" or "Site" shall mean all websites on which KOMUNIKI provides the Services. "Members" shall mean all registered users of KOMUNIKI on the Websites. "Services" shall mean all registration based services provided by KOMUNIKI on the Websites. "Registration Data" shall mean the Personal Data you are obliged to make available to KOMUNIKI in the registration process for the KOMUNIKI Services (mandatory fields). "Profile" shall mean the KOMUNIKI Website page where the Personal Data you have made available to KOMUNIKI is displayed in accordance with your specifications and your consent.
Personal Information
In order to operate the Site in an efficient and effective manner and provide users with information on e.g. job postings and services that may be of interest to them, KOMUNIKI collects personal information, credit card information if you possibly pay for something, including contact information (such as an email address), from its users. In addition, this information allows us to provide users with private and secure areas to post and modify their original content on our site (e.g., jobs and resumes). We also automatically track certain information based upon your behaviour on the Site and use this information to do internal research on our users' demographics, interests, and behaviours to better understand, protect and serve users in general. This information may include the URL that a user has just come from (whether this URL is on our Site or not), the URL a user goes to next (whether this URL is on our Site or not), a user’s computer browser information, and their IP address.
Principles of KOMUNIKI for handling your Personal Data
KOMUNIKI regards the following basic principles in the protection of your Personal Data:
KOMUNIKI shall collect, process and use your Personal Data in accordance with the laws and statutes on data protection of the Republic of Germany.
KOMUNIKI shall use your Personal Data solely to provide you the KOMUNIKI Services on the Web for which you have registered. KOMUNIKI will never pass your Personal Data on to any third party, neither for advertising, for marketing nor for any other purposes.
You alone decide which of the Personal Data you have made available to KOMUNIKI may be displayed by KOMUNIKI to other members of KOMUNIKI .

KOMUNIKI employs encryption for secure credit card transactions (Secure SSL-Connection).
Registration Data for an Individual
In order for the Services to function, KOMUNIKI needs to collect and process certain elements of your Personal Data in the course of the registration process. First of all, this consists of your Password. Your password will never be visible to anybody at any time. KOMUNIKI will never disclose or pass your password on to any third party.
Furthermore, you will need to fill out the following Personal Data in the course of the registration process (mandatory fields):
Username
Email account
First name, last name,
Nationality
Gender
Birthday
Country, state and city of your place of residence
Language skills
From these mandatory fields are accessible to other members without any restrictions only your user name, your gender, your nationality, your language skills and your place of residence.
Registration Data for a Representative
In order for the Services to function, KOMUNIKI needs to collect and process certain elements of your Personal Data in the course of the registration process. Furthermore, you will need to fill out the following Personal Data in the course of the registration process (mandatory fields):

Nationality
Gender
Birthday

Language skills
Industry
Jobrole
Name of your organization
Department
Business website
Business phone
Except your business phone, your email address and your date of birth are all these mandatory fields are accessible to other members without any restrictions.
Voluntary Data
If you wish, you may provide additional information about yourself apart from the mandatory data on a voluntary basis (hereafter referred to as "Voluntary Data"), to allow other members to get to know you better and possibly encourage them to choose you as an appropriate contact. At the moment, you are able to choose from the following Voluntary Data, for example: your interests, your education, organizations you have previously worked for etc. You may also upload a photograph of yourself if you wish. The Voluntary Data you choose to provide to KOMUNIKI is accessible to all other members, unless the data is particularly identified.
Your Profile & Your Contacts
All other members may access your profile and view the information displayed on the profile, including such voluntary data you have specified to be made available to all other members. Other members may send you messages to you in order to get in contact with you. Certain groups of members may be able to access more of your data in accordance with your specifications (chosen settings) for the respective group. If you send other members a request for personal contact, these members are then saved in your profile on a contact list. Should a Member confirm your request for contact, this member shall be listed as a so called "confirmed contact".
The following of your “personal statistics” are visible to all members at all times:
Level of your verification
Number of hits on your profile
Number of your confirmed contacts
Month and year of begin of your membership
Classes, Clubs, Circles, Groups & Forums
KOMUNIKI offers services for organization of groups and forums.
Each group has one or more moderator(s). Only the moderator decides for each group whether the group is public or whether it is only accessible to a specific group of people. This information will be displayed on the Websites for the relevant group. It is visible to members and it may also be visible to non-members of KOMUNIKI, depending on the settings chosen by the moderator. Please note: where a group is specified as "public" on the KOMUNIKI Website and in the event that the moderator has not restricted the access rights to the group, all contributions of members to such a group can be read by all other members, and these contributions are then also accessible to non-members of KOMUNIKI on the Internet without any restrictions. To prevent abuse and to strengthen the security of the group KOMUNIKI recommends only to accept those members who are verified.
Courses, Travel, Trips, Journeys, Activities & Events
On the Websites, KOMUNIKI offers you the possibility to enter and organize your courses, travels, appointments, activities and events as well as similar services (collectively hereinafter referred to as "events"). With this function you may manage and coordinate your events with other members and/or with non-members of KOMUNIKI, and you may also invite other members and/or non-members to specific events. Each event has one or more organizers. The organizer decides for each event if and which information about the event is visible to other members and/or for non-members of KOMUNIKI. Among other things, this information may include whether the event is reserved to members or whether it is a public event and as such accessible to non-members, whether the number of participants is limited, whether the guest list is visible without any restrictions or if and which restrictions should apply to the visibility of the guest list. The above information shall be displayed on the Websites for the relevant event. It is visible to members, and it may also be visible to non-members, depending on the settings chosen by the organizer.
Invitations
As a KOMUNIKI Member you may invite others to join KOMUNIKI. KOMUNIKI shall process personal data collected in the course of the invitation solely for the invitation and shall not use it for any other purposes. Please note that your name, your first name and your level of verification are displayed to the recipient of the invitation.
ClickPath
"ClickPath" is a function of the Services which registers access to members’ Profiles by other members or access to specific information within members’ Profiles. By using ClickPath you can see which Profiles of other members you have visited. You can also check which other members have visited your Profile. By the same token, all other members of KOMUNIKI can do the same, i.e. they may see whether you have visited their Profile. This service is an essential part of contact management on KOMUNIKI and as such an essential services: you are not able to deactivate this service in your privacy settings. If you do not agree that other members may see that you have visited their Profile, you should not use the services.
Search Functions
The Services offer various possibilities to search for particular members, including a Meeting Point feature. These various search functions may assist you, for example, in finding other members with similar interests. The search functions can also help you to initiate contact with other members who offer exactly what you are looking for. Thus, you can find the contacts you need - and systematically expand your personal network.
Under Age
Membership of Services is reserved to persons who have reached the legal age of 18. Parents and legal guardians are responsible for the protection of their children's privacy.
What You Should Know
KOMUNIKI cannot ensure that all of your private communications and other personal information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. Therefore, although we are committed to protecting your privacy, we can not promise, and you should not expect, that your personal information or private communications will always remain private. As a user of the Site, you understand and agree that you assume all responsibility and risk for your use of the Site, the Internet generally, and the documents you post or access and for your conduct on and off the Site.
